The graph in the KnowYourStaff report provides detailed
information about
the employee or candidate assessed. It is also an excellent visual
of how he or
she compares to the profile of top performers. A key, located at
the bottom of the
graph and re-capped below, will help you to better understand the
information in
the graph:
The RED TRIANGLE
illustrates where the employee or candidate has scored on
each trait.
The GREEN BAR represents
the scores of the Peak Performers for that trait. The
width of the green bar is determined by the standard deviation.
However, it is
simplest to understand that the smaller the green bar, the closer
the scores of the
top performers, and therefore the more important the trait.
The BLUE TRAITS,
also shown in italics, are the traits that were found to
be
statistically the most relevant and important for the position.
The SIMILARITY INDEX, a number between 1 and 100
located at the top of the
graph, represents how similar a candidate is to the Peak Performer
Profile. The
higher the number, the closer the similarity. This number summarizes
the
information from all 16 traits into one easy-to-use piece of information.
Generally
speaking, an index of 90 to 100 indicates the candidate is an excellent
match,
while 80 to 89 is a very good match. Scores below 80 warrant closer
examination
to see where the individual is different from the Peak Performers,
and how that
difference might affect job performance.
