Who are we? KnowYourStaff
is a division of Hayes Consulting. We customize
and market employee assessment tools developed by a company called
The Computer
Psychologist, an industry leader in the field of online psychological
testing for
employment success. Their staff of industrial psychologists has
years of experience
developing and administering assessments designed to help employers
do a better
job of hiring and evaluating employees. Our two companies have worked
together to
develop statistically valid profiles for various positions in the
eyecare office.

What do we do? Our main
objective is to provide practice owners with highly
accurate, yet affordable tools that a) help you identify and hire
good people and
b) do a better job of managing the employees you have now. There
are currently
two tools to choose from. Both assessments are taken online from
any computer
that has Internet access.
1.The ’16 Point Profile’ takes about 45 minutes
to complete. It measures problem-solving
ability plus all 16 core human personality traits, including the
8 critical traits that are
unique to ‘peak performing’ eyecare employees. We highly
recommend using this
assessment as one of your pre-hiring screens for new employees.
It is also indicated
when you want to evaluate both the personality style and aptitude
of your current staff.
2.The ‘8 Point Profile’ takes about 20 minutes
to complete. It measures the 8 critical
personality traits that are unique to ‘peak performing’
eyecare employees, but not
problem-solving ability. We recommend using this assessment to evaluate
your whole
staff as a team-building exercise.

How are tests taken?
Testing takes place wherever there is an Internet connection,
whether at your office or in the privacy of the candidate's home.
As soon as the test
is finished, you will be notified via e-mail that results are available
online.

What is a Peak Performer Profile?
This concept was developed by The Computer
Psychologist to ensure the highest degree of success in online
testing.
KnowYourStaff, in partnership with The Computer
Psychologist, has developed
highly accurate, statistically valid profiles of top performing
employees for various
positions in the eyecare office. Both the ’16 Point Profile’
and the ’8 Point Profile’
assessments compare your employee or candidate to traits that are
unique to ‘peak
performing’ eyecare employees in the specific position you
select.

What is the Similarity Index?
The Similarity Index is based upon the Peak Performer
Profile. When an employee or candidate takes either the '16
Point Profile' or '8 Point
Profile' assessment, their results are compared to the Peak
Performer Profile for a specific
position. A number between 0 and 100 is generated to represent how
closely their
profile matches the Peak Performer Profile for that position.

Does this service replace the
interview process? No, neither of these assessments
will replace human judgment. But they will give you a wealth of
extremely valuable
information about both current employees and job candidates in terms
of how their
talents can best be utilized in your practice.
